Founders
Salim Juma
​
Salim Juma is the CEO of John High & Associates. He qualified as an Optician in 1993 and soon realised he had a passion for business. He opened the first Eye Emporium Opticians practice in London in 1996, and continued growing the company since.
Today Eye Emporium counts 11 working practices across London and Kent. The business has integrated audiology, and has recently branched out to provide joint venture opportunities for other opticians. After his optometry degree, Salim obtained a post graduate diploma in Management Studies, and has recently completed a Level 7 course for Executive Coaching at the Institute of Leadership and Management.
As a passionate businessman, he has established John High & Associates to share his experience and knowledge: ‘The business journey is full of challenges, and can be overwhelming. Having been through this journey myself, I am now passionate to give back to entrepreneurs and SMEs who are starting out.’
Majeed Abdulai​
​
Majeed Abdulai has a wealth of experience gained in over 20 years working as a Senior Accountant. After obtaining his Master’s Degree in Accounting & Finance at London South Bank University, Majeed has worked in both practice and industry for several firms in the UK and overseas.
Today he offers his expertise in taxation, accounting, and budgeting to a wide range of clients, including small and medium-sized businesses, high-net-worth-individuals, and large private groups. He is particularly well-placed to advise on the impact of regulatory changes, and helps companies understand and prepare for such changes.
Majeed has also performed voluntary service and was Board Member of West Ham & Plaistow New Deal Partnership Limited, a charity devoted to improving community services in the West Ham and Plaistow areas of London.
